Beware!!! Scorching HOT series!!!
To be honest, I can't recall reading Lauren Hawkeye books before. But when I read the blurb for this series, I was definitely intrigued. And I wasn't disappointed. The story is definitely HOT, sexy and a little bit suspenseful. It is also short, so it can be the perfect distraction for a relaxing night at home :)
Jason and Cari are quite interesting characters. Cari is super smart, independent and a little bit introverted. But when she meets Jason, things for her change quite dramatically. He releases the wild sexual creature inside her, and in a way gives her the confidence she sometimes lacks. Jason is quite mysterious. There is pretty much nothing known about him, except that he is kind of a geek with the body of a god and a kinky mind. There were few things that weren't exactly my cup of tea but as a whole Cari and Jason's story is definitely intriguing.
The suspenseful part of the story was quite interesting but the end was a little bit predictable for me. I kind of knew what's going to happen around the middle of the second part. With that being said, I still enjoyed it.
If I have to be completely honest, I would've loved it if the story was slightly longer and there was some more background on Cari and Jason. And probably something more on their relationship. I think that the story definitely has potential to become a full novel.
As a whole, this is a good read. Especially, if you are looking for something short and hot to take your mind off. I am definitely intrigued by the author's writing style and will be checking her other works.
